Audience Feedback

I created a survey for my target audience to respond to seeing what logo and titles they liked for my production company name and film title. I contacted them on twitter as my target audience are known for using social networking sites like these.

I got a lot of responses from this, But i did get some on twitter as well.

The results from Survey Monkey - 

I'm pleased with my results. This shows that both Logo 6 and Title 6 are the most popular and the ones i will use in my film.
These are the two titles my audience who responded to the survey liked:

For Melia film studios the font i used is Century Gothic and Calibri. I used the Kern tool to change the spaces between the text, i thing this gives it an artist effect. 

For Unfolding i used the font Gill Sans MT Ext Condensed Bold. I also used the Kern tool again, to bring the text slightly closer together.

Boy Friend scene (Before Scene 2)



Im using this type of shot for my trailer as i want to introduce Cameron straight away to the audience, showing the audience there are some dramatic elements in my film. I may not use the whole 6 seconds, but i do like this and will use bits in my trailer.

Now i have filmed some key scenes that would happen in my film and i will include in my trailer i want to take some short shots that will be in my trailer. These will help tell the story so all the dramatic scenes that happen in the film and show the audience that my film is full of drama,action and thrill. Some of these will be filmed however i do want some voice overs.
I may not use all these but i would like to film them all.

1. Gemma, Esther and Katie are all sitting together outside, Esther is trying to explain to her friends about what she has found in this book, they both think she is made, so turns to show them a page where they are mentioned and a new chapter has been added. Esther freaks out.

2. Cameron, Esther Boyfriend has turned on Esther and threatens to kill her.

3. Gemma shouting at Esther saying " Do you not realise that changing the future is only making things worse!"  ( Use some of it, might try using as a voice over while showing other dramatic scenes of Esther changing the future."  Esther shouting back at her saying "I will make things worse if i don't read things" or " Imagine knowing your fate and being able to change it! Something good must come from this."

4.Esther reading the book in different places. School, Park, Shopping center, Home and the world moving around her. 

5. Esther at her dad's grave, putting flowers down and holding the book.

6. Esther asking her mom what the book is?

7. Esther in the car and see's Gemma about to walk out in the road without looking, she runs out of the car and pushes her out the way.

Scene 3

I filmed this at around 4:30, in person there was still a lot of light and the street lamps created more, however on camera it was a lot darker. 

if i re-do this i will film it early in the day and create the dark effect later in editing, However i am going to get some people to help me create more light just in case. I was going to try out covering a board with tin foil and shining a touch on to it so the light bounces off it and on to the set. I will place 3 off these off set to see if this makes a difference. 

Key scene 3

Outline-
Esther is coming home after a night out with Gemma and some of her friends. She has just been beaten up by her boyfriend so Gemma told her to clear her head and go out with her. On her journey home she travels through an alley way, At this point she feels ill and scared and she is trying to contact Gemma, she then hears a noise behind her and panics and runs home.

Location: Alley way and drive of my house.
Characters and Actress's: Esther played by Georgia Waldron.
Weather:

Setting and props: Alley way at around 4PM before the sun fully sets so you get the early morning effect.  Mobile phone.

Scene 2

I really like this. This is a lot better that my first key scene, i think this is because i took longer shots and used effective music. 

Print Product images and planning.

I decided to take some images to start creating posters and magazine covers. I have edited them to add effects and to make the genre easier to identify. I will re take some of these images to get higher quality but i also might use these as well.

I've noticed from research, i need to have a catchy tagline which helps show what the film is about. These are my idea's:

-The future starts today, not tomorrow.

-Would you read into the future?

-Control your own destiny or someone else will.

-The future ain't what it used to be.

-The future can influences the present, so watch out.

-If you do not think about your future, you cannot have one.

-Only you can control your future

-Future is that little thing no one should know about.

-You'll never regret reading a book till now.

Planning 

Film Title

For all my print products, i will use the same font and colours. I want it to relate to a book in some way, I've looked at fonts that have a handwritten effect, typewriter effect and others. These are the ones i like the most.
